"The tempered light of the woods is like a perpetual morning, and is stimulating and heroic. The anciently reported spells of these places creep on us." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

My desire to pursue a career where I would be in the woods studying animals led me to the University of Vermont, where I graduated with my BS and MS degree in wildlife biology. I have spent the past several years working on various wildlife projects; Kodiak brown bear in Alaska, wolves in Yellowstone, wolverine and lynx in Montana, bats in Yosemite, black bear in Minnesota, and most recently moose in Vermont, where I was born and raised.

I have fallen in love with documenting the natural world through the medium of photography. It is these wild and working landscapes that capture both my imagination and my heart.
